In the world of work, many people and trainers of personnel of companies believe knowingly that when we reach our targets, we feel good. So, we can apply that rule in our life.
We believe this method is the natural functioning of the mind of happy people.
Here are the steps to take:
1- Consider something that you would like or want to do, be it an artwork or personal care... We can actually consider something that we hate to do or have neglected for a while. Let's say the cleaning need of our refrigerator.
2- Scrutinize it for a few seconds and notice what it needs, actually asking you to do...
3- Imagine how it would be like when you finish working with it. You can imagine it brighter after the target is hit.
4- Set your intention to hit the target and concentrate on it and stay in the trajectory until you reach it.
5- Set your timer to some minutes; ideally 20 minutes would work or help get most of the things done. You can determine your time according to the estimated duration of reaching the target.
6- Keep concentrating on the job for 20 minutes. Consideration of making it artfully is important. Pay attention to all details and come out of it masterfully.
7- Feel the sense of victory and your capabilities in dealing with an issue. Watch your work and compare with the earlier form.
8- If it is on your to-do list, write this magical word beside it: "Done!" Or say it to yourself with a sigh.
You may want to take "before & after" photos of it if it would be meaningful when changed. For example, making a cat house at an empty space in the garden or neighborhood.
It is likely that you will come back to that good feeling when you see it again.
